Clear Channel radio launches new digital radio format from Coachella
Unlike the “Jack” format, eRockster will live primarily off the terrestrial dial. Now that the festival is over, the channel moves online to erockster.com. Starting in May, eRockster will also be carried as the second HD Radio channel for a number of Clear Channel rock stations around the country, and will be featured in a weekly programming block on the terrestrial stations.
Dallas OZZFEST To Feature METALLICA, OZZY OSBOURNE, RIGOR MORTIS
As BLABBERMOUTH.NET exclusively reported on April 11, this summer’s Ozzfest will consist of two separate two-day (Saturday/Sunday) events — one of which will be held in Dallas — in late July/early August, with OZZY OSBOURNE headlining one day and METALLICA the other.
A less-than-sharp EdgeFest in Frisco
For a while it looked as if EdgeFest might have lost its edge. Weather more typical for late January than late April kept a hefty chunk of the expected 28,000 fans away from Pizza Hut Park during the afternoon at “The Edge” KDGE-FM (102.1)’s EdgeFest 17 on Sunday. And some of those who did come early weren’t prepared for the chill.

The developers of West Ave have apparently hit that mark.
Urban Partners of Dallas has announced a handful of restaurants and bars that will open next year in the mixed-use project under construction at the southwest corner of Kirby and Westheimer.
They are: Cru, a Dallas wine bar and restaurant; Pie Bar, a gourmet pizza eatery; The Social House@West Ave, a gastropub; Swig, a martini bar out of San Antonio; and Wildfish, which will serve seafood and steaks.
The project is expected to have 390 apartments in five levels and 180,000 square feet of retail space on the first two floors. READ THE REST
